The influence of economic crisis on international labour migration of Moldavian population is outlined. The modern tendencies of reduction of the labour migrants’ number, main reasons of such reduction and consequences of migration policies of Moldavian labour migrants’ destination countries are analyzed. The role of money transfers of the Moldavian labour migrants in the state economy and its influence on the poverty and social structure of Moldova is presented. Considering the worsening of situation on the labour market in Republic of Moldova, possible actions of citizens in case of the loss of work, including the intention to have or start private business of the former labour migrants, are indicated.
