Theoretical and methodological aspects of competitiveness improvement by non-bank financial institutions at financial services market in Ukraine are examined. Definition of term “non-bank financial institutions” is proposed and scientific and methodical approaches to assessing the competitiveness of non-bank financial institutions are substantiated. Recommendations for improving the mechanism of state influence on increase of their competitiveness are developed. The measures for positioning non-bank financial institutions at financial services market in order to ensure their competitiveness are proposed.
