The structure of oil and gas and electricity complexes of Ivano-Frankivsk region is outlined, the work conditions and possibilities of competitive struggle at the regional market of electricity supply between Power Supply Company (Oblenergo) as regional natural monopolist of transmission and supply of electricity and independent suppliers as suppliers of electricity by non-regulated tariffs are analyzed. The stages of transmission to the full-scale competitive electricity market, which stipulates the creation of bilateral agreements market of buying and selling, exchange market, balancing market and retail electricity market, are presented.
