The basic socio-economic and professional aspects of educational migration in modern world are outlined. The influence of workforce education level on the basic macroeconomic indicators and the peculiarities of migration policy in the education sphere of developed economies and in Ukraine are revealed. The structure of foreign students in higher educational establishments of Ukraine by the countries of origin and the structure of foreign specialists’ training by the regions of Ukraine and by the field of science are analyzed. The main advantages and possible negative effects of involvement of education migrants in national labour markets are specified.
