Resume

The analysis of influence of the world economy crisis on the foreign labour migration in Ukraine is made. The characteristics of labour migrants as the separate social and professional group are determined. The general social and demographic portrait of the foreign labour migrants is represented, the attitude of Ukrainians to the consequences of the world economy crisis is shown, the strategies of survival in terms of crisis are offered, the peculiarities of migrants employment and the reasons of their return to motherland are analyzed, the self-appraisal of the level of household material welfare and status position in social hierarchy are outlined. The necessity of examination of the labour migrants experience on the foreign labour markets is proved.
