The foreign trade of Western Ukrainian regions in 1996-2007 and its place in the total volume of Ukraine’s foreign trade is investigated. The analysis of geographic and commodity structure of foreign trade in goods and services of Western Ukrainian regions on the basis of statistical data is conducted. The comparison of values of Western Ukrainian foreign trade with the relevant indices on the regions with the largest shares in Ukraine’s foreign trade – Kyiv, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions – is provided. The dynamics of development of foreign trade in Western Ukrainian regions is outlined. The share of EU and CIS countries in export and import of goods of Western Ukrainian regions is presented.
