Resume

Competitiveness, whether it is of the companies, regions or of the whole economies, was always the subject of interest in both economic theory and practice as well. Factors, which influence the competitiveness, have been constantly changing in course of development of society. At present special attention is given to so-called dynamic competitive advantages together with environmental potential of company, region or the national economy as a whole. Influence of ecological policy on competitiveness with special accent on ecological taxes and emission allowances is analyzed.
