Interrelation of economic development and labour-market of Sumy Region is examined. The fact that regional economic development is the important factor defining the condition of regional labour market functioning and, on the contrary, the qualitative characteristics of the labour market stipulate the stability of economic growth of region is proven. Analysis of the basic economic parameters and the labour market for 2004–2008 is conducted. The correlation analysis is carried out to confirm the influence of economic development on functioning of the regional labour market. The respective conclusions are made by the results of research.
