Conceptual bases and theoretical approaches to understanding of labour potential essence are examined; the evolution of labour potential concept in the light of labour discourse and realities of civilization processes of postindustrial transformations and establishing of global society of knowledge is outlined; dynamics of origin and understanding of labour potential terminology is analyzed; the component structure of labour potential and factors of forming and development of labour potential are defined.
