By reference to the etymology of the concepts «accommodation» and «spatial organization» of production the relevant scientific disciplines are determined according to subject and methods of study. Content of the subject of regional economy science is analyzed and its integrating role in generalization of the results of its own economic developments and the result of the other scientific developments obtained at the research of industrial production accommodation is stressed.
