Resume

Analysis of the state and trends in the economic component of rural territories of Carpathian region was conducted. The main features of the regional economy in the sectors of agriculture were defined; dynamics of indicators of certain types of livestock and crop production were analyzed. Differences in production of main agricultural products and the real and recommended consumption levels in the region were outlined. Main problems in agricultural development of the region were singled out; the share of agricultural enterprises in the gross output of agricultural production, as well as their economic efficiency, was described.
