Resume

The problem of further development of mining regions in Ukraine with the ongoing processes of coal mines closure is considered in the context of state reforming of mining industry. The alternative approach to speeding mining regions’ development named as «post-mining» is considered. Different and similar points of both present concept of mining industry state reforming and alternative post mining concept are analyzed. Conformity of the principles of sustainable development, innovation economy, state and private partnership, investment policy and reforming of budget relations and post-mining solutions is revealed. Close relation of mines’ transforming to profitable companies with regional development is shown.
