Resume

The analysis of the insurance market current state and tendencies of investment development by the Ukrainian insurance companies is conducted. The forecast of the domestic insurance companies’ assets size and their ratio by gross national product in medium-term prospect is developed. The choice of optimum statistical methods in order to obtain the most expectable, optimistic and pessimistic forecasts of separate indicators of the insurers’ investment activity is proved. The estimation of the insurance companies investment prospects, based on the generated forecasts taking into account consequences of financial crisis, is conducted. Directions of development of the domestic insurance market by means of internal and external mechanisms in current conditions for the purpose of growth of investment possibilities of insurers are offered.
