A concept «liquidity of bank» is examined; the modern state of liquidity of banks and banking system of Ukraine is analyzed; the dependence between the obligatory reserving and liquidity of banks is found. It is revealed that for today the structure of assets and liabilities of banks is not optimal but is on the way to it. It can promote reduction of additional risks and, in particular, risk of liquidity. It is suggested for central bank to grant intraday credits to support the liquidity of banks that enables decreasing of considerable remains of funds of correspondent accounts opened by banks in the National Bank of Ukraine.
