External factors, which influence the expected life duration at birth, technogenic factors, which provide technogenic loading on natural environment as a result of technogenic system functioning, socio-economic factors, which develop social sphere of society, condition and style of individual life and physiological factors, which reflect the features of human organism, such as age, sex, presence of different types of illnesses, inherited disposition to diseases, etc, are analyzed. Size of the average expected duration of future life by age-related groups on the example of Donetsk region is estimated. Estimation of deficit of the expected life duration at birth due to principal and external reasons of death is given.
