The peculiarities of the formation of an innovative model of cross-border cooperation in the framework of the Central European Region (CENTROPE) are investigated. The analysis of CENTROPE functioning is done based on the four groups of indicators of the system of technological clusters innovative potential determination such as R&D expenditures, human capital in science and technology, activity in the invention and patenting, investment resources for innovation. The weaknesses and areas of cross-border cooperation within CENTROPE are detected.
