The classification of the insurance levels in accordance with the size of insurance compensation is provided, the notion of miсroinsurance is outlined. The mechanisms of rendering of microinsurance services are offered. The potential providers of miсroinsurance services are specified. It is shown that miсroinsurance needs the donors, government support, participation of associations of insurance organizations of Ukraine and preparation of the strategy of miсroinsurance development. The basic risks and factors influencing the decisions of the insured to buy microinsurance policies are analyzed. Risks that the miсroinsurance carries for the providers of such services are presented.
