Analysis of the current state, dynamics and structure of the problem assets in the banking system of Ukraine was presented. The volume of reserves of Ukrainian banks for the period 2006-2013 to reimburse possible losses resulting from active bank operations were evaluated. Dynamics volume of problem assets has been shows and their impact on the financial performance of the banking system have been determined. According to the analysis of statistical data conclusions on the effectiveness of managing problem assets was formulated.

The problem assets, the problems of their influence on the banking institutions of Ukraine and the measures that will facilitate disposal of such assets by banks to stabilize the banking system of Ukraine was analyzed.
