ResumeNew approaches to estimation of functional efficiency of commodity markets are offered on the basis of balance method and calculation of concentration indexes (on the example of bread production market in Lviv Region). While conducting the analysis of formation and functioning of bread production market structure in Lviv Region, the basic criteria, which define the type of commodity market, namely the quantity of manufacturers, their market share, the character of a product, the feature of the state control over the prices are considered. The conclusions over the level of competition at the market and the determination of the market entrance barriers for other enterprises are made.
