The article considers the basic scientific principles and defines the main scientific approaches to the methodology of studying the economic security systems of enterprises, which include systemic, structural, functional, process, integrated, organizational-scientific, and resource-functional approaches. The author reveals that the integration of these approaches allows for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of functioning and development of economic security of enterprises at different levels. Specific scientific approaches inherent in the development of the methodological foundations of security science are characterized, including defensive, competitive, harmonized, convergent, dynamic, adaptive, activity-based, reactive-situational, and resilient approaches. The article proves that this methodology has a significant scientific basis presented in numerous works that analyze in detail the phenomenon of economic security at different levels – from the state and regions to individual organizations. The author finds that the issues of security science are undergoing significant transformations, which are determined by changes in the external and internal environment of enterprises in the context of increasing turbulence and dynamics. These changes cause a constant need to analyze, improve, and develop new approaches, mechanisms, and tools to effectively respond to new threats and challenges. The article proves that the current conditions of informatization and digitalization require the inclusion of new information and technological foundations in the methodological apparatus, which expands the possibilities and methods of cognition. It determines that the synthesis of various scientific approaches and principles creates a conceptually new basis for security science, which reflects the need for a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the economic security of enterprises, taking into account their interaction with various economic, social, political, and technological systems. The author proves that such an approach allows not only to analyze existing conditions and threats in depth but also to predict potential challenges and develop effective strategies for sustainability and development.

Achieving economic stability is one of the main challenges facing businesses in today’s unstable financial and political environment. The coordinated development and creation of a reliable and promising business climate are among the top priorities for Ukraine’s economy, which would ensure the continued functioning of business entities in the future. The article aims to analyze the economic stability of enterprises in the context of modern challenges, namely during martial law in Ukraine, and outline the main directions for strengthening the security of enterprises. The basic essence of the term “economic stability of an enterprise” is revealed, taking into account the interpretation of this concept in the scientific works of economists. The article analyzes the economic stability of enterprises in the context of modern challenges, namely, during martial law in Ukraine. It emphasizes that in addition to profitability, the economic stability of an enterprise depends on many factors that are formed as a result of financial stability and economic and financial resilience. The full-scale invasion of our country by the Russian aggressor has made adjustments to the economic stability of enterprises. The authors analyze the main problems that prevent businesses from recovering and developing during the war and point out certain conditions to which enterprises are adapting. The positive aspects on the basis of which the economic activity of enterprises is gradually recovering in certain industries are outlined. The results of the analytical report of the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine are analyzed, and the directions for strengthening the security of enterprises in the context of modern challenges are offered.

An enterprise that moves from the material to the digital, becoming an independent element of business security, is a priority component of the state’s economic security in the context of the digital economy development. Therefore, today we cannot ignore such an important catalyst for the success of economic activity as the use of innovative information and computer technologies, which are the basis of the digital economy and play a significant role in the development of all aspects of social life. Obviously, it is digitalization that has a significant impact on the activities of economic entities and, therefore, focuses on strengthening their economic security. The article aims to determine the nature of digitalization and its impact on the development of enterprise security stability. In the context of the digital economy, studies have shown that the transition from traditional to digital methods is extremely important to ensure the economic stability and security of an enterprise in the most problematic period of its operation. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic and the full-scale war, the ability to order products without leaving home has become particularly important for consumers, and this factor has become much more significant. The article reveals that elements of digital transformation have become key factors in the development and maintenance of the economic security of small and medium-sized enterprises. The use of these areas of digitalization allows companies to effectively strengthen their operations and ensure their competitiveness in the market. Overall, the introduction of digital technologies will help keep most businesses in the market and increase their contribution to economic development. Using the methods of induction and deduction, the article suggests the hypothesis that the economic security of an enterprise can be strengthened through the use of digital technologies, namely, by using digitalization tools. The article proves that digital technologies allow businesses to increase their efficiency, attract new customers, and increase sales. They allow businesses to increase their competitiveness and adapt to changes in the market.
